UNOR™ Calicivirus Virus Antigen Test Kit For Cats(FCV Ag Test)
Basic Info
【Principle of Inspection】
This antigen rapid detection test strip utilizes an immunochromatographic double-antibody sandwich detection technology, and gold nanoparticle technology with an optimally uniform particle size for enhanced sensitivity and accuracy. Rapid and qualitative detection of feline calicivirus (FCV) antigen in ocular, oral, and nasal secretions (or conjunctiva) of cats.
【Storage conditions and expiration date】
1. Stored at 2-30°C, the validity period is 24 months. Avoid direct sunlight, do not freeze. The test paper should be used as soon as possible within 1 hour after opening the aluminum foil bag.
2. See the label for the production batch number and expiration date.
【Packaging and components】
Each test includes:
1 X Calicivirus Virus Antigen Rapid Test Strip
1 X Sample collection tube with diluent
1 X Sampling swab
1 X Disposable dropper
1 X user's Guide
HOW TO USE
【Sample Requirements】
1. The test samples are feline eye, mouth and nasal secretions (or conjunctiva);
2. Collection of eye, mouth and nose secretions (or conjunctiva) samples: wipe and collect with a cotton swab moistened with physiological saline, dip into a sample collection tube filled with diluent, and mix well;
3. If the test cannot be performed in time, the sample can be stored in a refrigerator at 2-8°C, and it is recommended to store it in a freezer at -20°C for more than 2 weeks. Return to room temperature before testing and avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
【Testing method】
1. Take out the test paper, diluent and sample to be tested, and equilibrate to room temperature;
2. Tear open the aluminum foil bag, take out the test paper, and place it horizontally on a spacious and dry test bench;
3. Take the sample to be tested with the disposable dropper provided, and carefully add 2-3 drops of the sample to the sample hole of the test paper to ensure that no air bubbles are generated during the operation;
4. Read the result after 5-10 minutes, no more than 20 minutes at the latest.
【Result Judgment】
1. Negative result: only the C line develops color, indicating that no feline calicivirus (FCV) antigen was detected in the sample.
2. Positive result: Both the C line and the T line are colored, indicating that the feline calicivirus (FCV) antigen was detected in the sample.
3. Invalid result: The C line does not show color, indicating that the test paper is invalid or improperly operated, and a new test is required.
